• The botanical name of this plant is illicium parviflorum hedge and it is native to north central Florida. Generally considered a large shrub or small anise tree if pruned to that desired shape.
• This plant or evergreen tree gets very large throughout maturity. Can grow up to 10 to 15 ft. tall and 6-10 ft. wide. It makes a great privacy bush when planted in a location that deems it so. The yellow anise hedge also can provide protection from the wind as a windbreak.
• The Yellow Anise bushs elliptical-shaped leaves give off an aromatic scent of anise when crushed and the shrub features olive green subtle flowers in the spring growing season, followed by star-shaped seedpods.
